Here’s How Long Each Sign Waits To Introduce You To Their Parents

Any way you slice it, meeting the parents is a watershed moment in a relationship because you’re being introduced to your partner’s inner circle. While no sign in the zodiac takes this step lightly, the amount of time each sign waits to introduce you to their parents can vary greatly. Some see this as a bigger deal than others, while others generally prefer to take things at a more measured pace in general. Then, of course, there’s the other end of the spectrum, those who like to leap right in and make the intro happen as quickly as possible, either because they’re all-in from the start, or because they want to get their family’s take on you before things get too serious.

With that said, if you’re in a relationship with someone whose family you’ve yet to meet, here’s when you can likely expect it to happen based on their zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 — April 19)

For a sign as impulsive and confident in their instincts as Aries, the decision to meet the parents will likely happen without a ton of forethought, and early in the relationship. As soon as it “feels right” to Aries, they’ll make the introduction, but not make a huge deal about it. Just keep in mind there likely won’t be a ton of warning before it happens.

Taurus (April 20 — May 20)

Taurus has a habit of falling in love with their friends, so chances are their partners have already met their parents ahead of time. But for those partnered with a Taurus who didn’t start in the friend zone, the wait to meet their family may be a bit of a long one. Taurus takes commitment and family very seriously, so they aren’t going to make introductions until they’re fairly confident the relationship is built to last.

Gemini (May 21 — June 20)

Meeting a Gemini’s family is going to take some patience, because although they fall into infatuation quickly, they move onto love much more slowly. Gemini also tend to keep parts of their lives private, slowly parceling out little bits over time. So, a step as big as getting to know their family is something they are going to take their time with.

Cancer (June 21 — July 22)

The timing for meeting Cancer’s parents is a little unpredictable. It depends on how long it takes for them to open up to you emotionally. Cancer can be a hard nut to crack, but once you’re inside the walls, they’re all the way in the relationship. When they do open up, meeting the family is likely to follow soon after.

Leo (July 23 — Aug. 22)

Leo’s a sign that confidently knows their own heart and doesn’t second guess themselves. If they’re falling in love, they have no hesitation in taking their partner home to meet their folks. Don’t be surprised if, early on in the relationship, you find yourself having dinner with the fam.

Virgo (Aug. 23 — Sept. 22)

Virgo likes to take things slowly in relationships, allowing themselves to fully vet someone before letting them into their heart. This sign has very high standards and they refuse to be rushed. Wou should expect to wait a relatively long time before meeting Virgo’s parents. Just know that, when you do, it’s because your Virgo’s confident in the longevity of the relationship.

Libra (Sept. 23 — Oct. 22)

For all Libra’s flirtatious ways, they’re looking for a real partner. This sign thrives when they’re balanced by someone with whom they have a harmonious connection. When that happens, it just feels right to Libra. In that case, there’s no point in waiting to introduce their other half to the family.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 — Nov. 21)

Scorpio, like fellow water sign Cancer, can be a bit tough to get close to. They have a lot of walls to protect their emotional and vulnerable hearts. As a result, it might take a while before they let you in. However, once they do, meeting the parents is right around the corner.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 — Dec. 21)

Sagittarius is very slow to commit to a relationship; they just love their freedom too much. Because of this, they can be a little shy when it comes to any step that feels too “official,” and will likely drag their heels when it comes to introducing their partner to the family. As with all things relating to Sagittarius, patience is key.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 — Jan. 19)

Capricorn’s quite traditional when it comes to relationships and they take dating very seriously. In part, this is because they’re so busy they don’t have time to waste on relationships without real potential. They’re only going to introduce their parents to someone they have long-term plans for, so don’t expect to meet the folks until after you’ve defined the relationship.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 — Feb. 18)

Aquarius takes things very, very slowly in relationships. They’re highly independent and enjoy being single, so it takes someone very special to capture this sign’s heart. Even then, Aquarius isn’t in any rush to speed through relationship milestones. It will likely be quite a while before they take you home to meet the family.

Pisces (Feb. 19 — March 20)

Pisces is all-in on romance. When they start dating someone new, they have their eye on a happily ever after. As a result, moving quickly is their preferred speed in relationships, so don’t be surprised if they’re ready for you to meet their parents within the first month of dating.

Everyone’s relationship moves at a different speed, and that includes the all-important (and serious) step of meeting the parents. At least by taking your partner’s zodiac sign into account, you can get a better sense of when it could happen, so you can be prepared. What you do when the big moment comes is entirely up to you, but don’t stress, you’ve got this.

'America's Got Talent': Gabrielle Union Says She Got Sick From Simon Cowell Smoking, Which Rattled Howie Mandel

Last season of America’s Got Talent ended with multiple reports about the show’s work environment. That’s because Gabrielle Union reportedly complained about it and that includes Simon Cowell smoking indoors. Find out what she says about how it affected her health and more.

Gabrielle Union complained about Simon Cowell smoking indoors

There were reports about multiple alleged incidents leading up to Union’s exit on the competition show. Vulture reported that Union “regularly” complained about Cowell smoking indoors. This was a violation of California’s law, but he reportedly still did it.

This was reportedly a huge issue for Union because she’s allegoric to smoke. “No one could stop Cowell from smoking and that previous attempts by a fire marshal and NBC executives had been unsuccessful,” NBC staffers reportedly said.

Cowell and Union reportedly continued to clash. It was later reported that Union was considering suing the producer. However, that has yet to happen. SAG-AFTRA launch an investigation into the claims around Union’s exit. It’s unclear when the investigation will end and when the results will be released.

Union said she got bronchitis

Union is opening up about her time on the show with Variety. This time she said she brought up her concerns about Cowell smoking on her first day.

She said this was big for someone “coming onto a set and you are literally met with the very definition of a toxic work environment, and it’s being carried out by the most powerful person on the production.”

The actor said nothing changed despite her efforts. “I couldn’t escape. I ended up staying sick for two months straight. It was a cold that lingered, and turned into bronchitis, because I couldn’t shake it. It impacted my voice, which affects my ability to do my job,” she said.

Union said her runny nose rattled Howie Mandel. He has obsessive compulsive disorder and has a fear of germs. “It was challenging to tend to my illness without being made to feel like I’m responsible for my own sickness,” she said. “It put me in a position from day one where I felt othered. I felt isolated. I felt singled out as being difficult, when I’m asking for basic laws to be followed. I want to come to work and be healthy and safe and listened to.”

Cowell’s spokesperson gave a statement to respond to the claims. “When he was directly informed of the smoking complaint during the first couple of days of the season, he immediately changed his behavior and the issue was never raised again,” claimed the spokesperson.

Season 15 of America’s Got Talent premiered the night before the release of Union’s new interview. Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum are the new judges on the show.

CBS’ Gayle King says black men can be ‘killed by police in a nanosecond’ after host broke down on live TV – The Sun

CBS' Gayle King said black men can be killed by police in a "nanosecond" one day the host broke down on live TV discussing racial incidents in America.

King's comments came after watching a clip of George Floyd, a black man who died on Monday night after a white cop kneeled on his neck while he was handcuffed.

"It's still… very difficult to look at that tape," King said on CBS of footage that shows a Minnesota cop kneeling on Floyd's neck as he was handcuffed.

"I think one of the things that's so upsetting is.. a black man's encounter with police can go from zero to death in a nanosecond.

"I think that's what's on everybody's mind as we look at that video," she added.

The video posted to Facebook by Darnella Frazier, showed a Minneapolis cop kneeling on 46-year-old Floyd's neck, as he lay face-down in handcuffs.

He said multiple times in the video that he could not breathe.

Floyd died in police custody on Monday, after being arrested for allegedly trying to use forged documents at a local deli.

She added that the city took swift action, noting that four officers involved in the incident were fired in the afternoon.

King's comments came the day after she broke down on live TV, saying it "feels like open season" on black men in America.

"I am speechless. I am really, really speechless about what we’re seeing on television this morning.

"It feels to me like open season… and that sometimes it’s not a safe place to be in this country for black men."

"As the daughter of a black man and the mother of a black man, this is really too much for me today," she added.

Video of Floyd's sparked public outrage when it emerged on Tuesday.

Protesters and police clashed in the streets of Minneapolis, as demonstrators demanded the police involved be arrested.

Floyd's family said he was "clearly murdered" and the cops "deserve life" for his death after a white officer knelt on his neck.

“We want to see them charged with murder and we want them to be convicted," Floyd's cousin, Tera Brown told CNN.

"They need to pay for what they did."

Floyd's brother, George said of the cops: "They took a life, they deserve life."

The Chase’s Bradley Walsh issues warning to player after rule break: ‘You have to wait!’

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Bradley Walsh is known for his cheeky presenting style and often banters with the contestants of ITV show The Chase. However, he isn’t afraid to tell it how it is to those who take part, leading the host to issue a warning to player Sandy after she broke an unwritten rule of the show in an episode which aired earlier this year.

The popular quiz show sees four players up against one of the five Chasers in a bid to take home a huge sum of money.

The teams have varying success in their attempts to outrun one of Britain’s finest quiz brains, with some not taking home any money.

Earlier this year, contestant Sandy was told off by the host after making a huge unwritten error during her head-to-head.

Player Sandy was up against Anne Hegerty where she tried to make it through to the Final Chase but one question saw her rile up the host after she pressed her buzzer too early.

  • Bradley Walsh forced to apologise to The Chase contestant

Bradley asked the pair: “Which of these is not a standard speed for vinyl records?”

He then gave the pair three possible answers to choose from – 33 1/3 RPM, 45 RPM and 57 RPM.

However, before Bradley could finish reading out the answers, Sandra had already selected her answer.

Usually, both the player and Chaser are supposed to wait until Bradley has given them all three options to make their choice.

This led to the baffled host issuing her a warning, remarking: “You can’t just press your button willy-nilly Sandy!

“You have to wait until I’ve said the whole question dear!” leaving the contestant red-faced.

Bradley revealed the player’s answer, saying: “You’ve put 57 RPM,” as Sandy explained why she had chosen that particular answer.

She confidently told the host: “I remember buying both 33s and 45s,” with her answer being correct as well as Anne’s.

Sandy eventually made it through to the Final Chase, playing for £60,000 alongside two of her teammates – Lorraine and Mark – where they were beaten with just 12 seconds remaining.

It comes as much-loved Chaser, Anne, will front the first all-star series of Britain’s Brightest Family, starting tomorrow evening.

Speaking to Radio Times ahead of the latest series, she spoke out about how she was feeling to test the families of some of the nations most-loved stars.

She told the publication: “I thought it was an excellent idea and I think you will be surprised how clever the celebrities are!

  • The Chase: Mark Labbett shuts down Bradley Walsh amid shock accusation

“I already knew Shaun Williamson – he is actually quite a good quizzer, he comes to quizzing events.

“I’d met Laurence Llewelyn Bowen and his children a few years ago at a charity party too and realised they were all pretty smart.”

Anne also teased one instalment, in particular, adding: “We have a football episode with John Barnes and Matt Le Tissier.

“I’m really not very good on football, but I had heard of both of them, so that was fun! I enjoyed doing it, I do hope we’ll do another series.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.

Jessica Simpson's Super Toned Abs Are The Star Of Her Sweaty Post-Workout Selfie

  • Jessica Simpson just showed off her toned abs in a new post-workout selfie.
  • She recently lost 100 pounds after giving birth to her third child, Birdie Mae.
  • The fashion mogul is big on walking at least 10,000 steps a day and eating healthy.

Jessica Simpson is showing off her fit body following her recent 100-pound weight loss in a new post-workout mirror selfie on Instagram. In the pic, her toned abs are on full display as she rocks a cute matching sports bra and shorts set from her Jessica Simpson Collection, as well as her sneakers.

“Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health. 💪🏻,” she captioned her post.

So, how does the singer and fashion mogul stay so fit with three kids? For starters, she’s a huge fan of walking. During her weight loss journey after giving birth to baby Birdie Mae, Jessica had an original goal of 12,000 steps a day, according to her trainer Harley Pasternak, who spoke with Us Weekly. Pasternak eased Jessica into activity slowly, starting with walking 6,000 steps daily. “It’s a social thing that she can do with her kids,” he said. Slowly, she built up to 14,000 steps, according to E News.

Besides walking, Jess also hits the gym. During her weight loss journey, she also completed 45-minute workout sessions three days a week. According to Pasternack, those sessions included a five- to ten-minute cardio warm up, 20 to 30 minutes of resistance training and flexibility, followed by five to ten minutes of cardio cooldown.

And she also eats really well. Jess has three meals a day (plus snacks!) that are filled with protein, fiber, and fat. She specifically follows Pasternak’s Body Reset Diet plan and doesn’t drink alcohol.

She also made healthier versions of her favorite foods during her weight loss journey. “We did not diet in a tasteless, extreme, radical way,” said Pasternak on Good Morning America. “[Jessica] loves Tex-Mex flavors so she had a lot of healthy versions of Tex-Mex foods.”

And she also told People, “I am eating healthy, too—I discovered I really like cauliflower,” she explained. “Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?!”

Andy Cohen’s nanny working out well for Anderson Cooper

Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are such good friends that they employed the same nanny.

Cohen revealed earlier this month that his longtime nanny for 15-month old son Ben went to work for Anderson Cooper when he welcomed son Wyatt in April. And now, in this week’s People magazine, Cohen said he has a new nanny and that both kids are doing great with the arrangements.

“Things seem to be going great over at the Cooper household and things are good here — a really good transition at a moment when it’s probably not the best time to have a transition,” the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host said.

Cohen, 51, said on his Radio Andy talk show earlier this month that his nanny was going to help his longtime pal.

“We had long planned this transition, but I certainly didn’t expect it to happen during a quarantine, of course,” he said at the time. “So we had to really handle this hand-off from one home to the next very carefully, but we did and she is now with Anderson and I know she’s gonna get Wyatt on a great sleep schedule just like she got Ben.”

The AC Squared duo is also sharing baby clothing, with Cohen passing some some threads to Cooper for Wyatt.

“I’m inherently cheap. I like a good value,” Cooper said on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in early May before quipping: “I wanted my son to be a Depression-era child who grows up wearing hand-me-down clothes.”

Now, it’s only a matter of time until Cooper and Wyatt can don these adorable pajamas.

Alan Carr has been FaceTiming Adele in lockdown and wants in on weight loss tips

Alan Carr has revealed he’s been FaceTiming his pal Adele and it’s clear the lockdown isn’t holding him – or his social life – back in the slightest.

The funnyman has been getting all of the goss from the likes of Gok Wan, John Bishop, and David Walliams.

Oh, to be a fly on that wall.

Chatting to Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast about whether he’d been in touch with the Someone Like You singer, he answered: ‘Oh yeah, we FaceTimed her the other day! And of course she looks amazing now, doesn’t she?’

He added: ‘I mean, tell me that diet now Adele! I need it now!

‘Yeah, but then I’ve been – yeah, Gok, John Bishop and David Walliams and everything. Yeah we’ve all been getting in contact, it’s been good!’

Alan and Adele are close friends, with the singer officiating his wedding to Paul Drayton back in 2018.

And she and Paul are BFFs too, with the pair being pictured last year holding hands at Hyde Park for British Summer Time, after they enjoyed a set from Adele’s fellow queen of ballads, Celine Dion.

It’s gotta be done.

Meanwhile, Adele recently shared a rare social media post to celebrate her 32nd birthday, rocking a stunning little black dress outside her home in Los Angeles.

‘Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,’ Adele wrote.

She then paid tribute to the frontline workers fighting against coronavirus and added: ‘I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️ 2020 okay bye thanks x.’

Let’s hope Alan and Adele can be reunited soon – we can only imagine the mischief they’ll get up to.

Barry Hearn issues World Snooker Championship warning: 'It's then or cancelled'

The 2020 World Snooker Championship will begin on 31 July or it will be cancelled this year, confirms WST chairman Barry Hearn.

The main event of the snooker season has been rescheduled to run from 31 July-16 August due to the coronavirus crisis, and Hearn insists there is now absolutely ‘no flexibility whatsoever’ on the new dates.

It is yet to be decided if there will be any fans in attendance at the Crucible in Sheffield – although it is very unlikely there will be – while there is yet to be an announcement on the schedule for the qualifiers.

However, Hearn is very confident that the event will go ahead, partly because there is no other option in terms of dates for broadcaster, the BBC.

‘There is no flexibility whatsoever,’ Hearn told talkSPORT’s The Sports Bar. ‘If it doesn’t happen that week it will be cancelled. It can’t happen this year. The broadcasters’ schedule is already set.

‘It’s not just us. The same argument would apply to Formula One or whatever – you either do it or you don’t do it.

On the event being cancelled if it cannot start on 31 July, Hearn was adamant: ‘You can take that as a 99 per cent yes. The reason I make it 99, is because you can never see 100 per cent on anything.”

Ahead of the World Championship, there is Championship League Snooker, starting on Monday at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, which will provide a test event for how the sport can get up and running amid the global pandemic.

Strict health and safety practices will be in use, with all players, staff and officials tested and only able to enter the facility if they test negative, while there will be social distancing within the arena.

The WST chairman is delighted to get back into the swing of things, with the event running from 1-11 June, shown live on ITV4.

‘We are buzzing, absolutely buzzing,’ said Hearn continued.

‘It is a terrible thing we are going through but as the lockdown has continued and you start getting used to lockdown, as a family we are just looking at new ideas. We are an event company with no events so we have to come up with ideas because what else is there to do?

‘It is easy to sit around on your backside and do nothing, but that is not our style. I’m really, really looking forward to action coming on ITV from Monday.’
